MSJC Women Take Down COD

 

The Mt. San Jacinto women's basketball team defeated College of the Desert Wednesday night 55-48 to move back into a first place tie in the Foothill Conference.

Thalia Benjamin (pictured) led the way with 16 points and 19 rebounds for the Lady Eagles while Jasmine Nyx added 13 points, 11 in the second half. Michelle Simmons also reached double figures recording 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. The victory moved MSJC into a tie for first place in the conference and improved their record 12-8 Thalia Benjaminoverall and 4-1 in conference action.

The Lady Eagles will travel to Lancaster to take on Antelope Valley on Saturday at 5 pm before returning home for a game with Chaffey College on Wednesday January 23rd. Both games can be heard on AM 1620 or at msjc.edu, the Eagle Radio Network.
