Women's Basketball Team Grabs Home Win
The MSJC women's basketball team picked up a home win on Monday when they defeated visiting Cerro Coso College 84-35.
The Lady Eagles built up a 38-16 halftime lead and then blew the game wide open when they started the second half on a 25-1 run to push their lead to 63-17. Kerah Natividad was the leading scorer on the night for MSJC with 21 points. Tina Fantroy had a double double with 19 points and 10 assists on the night. Destiny Melton just missed a double double with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Cora Lopez came off the bench to grab a team high 12 rebounds.
The victory improved MSJC's overall record on the season to 18-2 and 5-1 in the Foothill Conference while Cerro Coso fell to 3-14 and 0-6. The Lady Eagles travel to Victor Valley on Wednesday for a conference contest with the Rams. Wednesday's game is scheduled to start at 5 pm.
