The MSJC women's basketball team defeated visiting Cerro Coso Wednesday night 78-47 in a Foothill Conference game.

After a slow start the Lady Eagles raced to a 37-18 lead at halftime. MSJC then started the second half on a 10-0 run to put the game out of reach for good. Danielle Smith led a balanced scoring attack with 14 points. Brandie McCann added 12 and Kyna Lewis had 10 in the victory.

The win improved the Lady Eagles record to 18-5 on the season and 5-1 in Foothill Conference play. MSJC will face San Bernardino Valley on Saturday at San Bernardino at 1 pm.
