Women's Hoops Team Beats Palomar Now 5-3

The MSJC women's basketball team got a victory over Palomar College on Friday night (Dec. 7th) 57-44, moving their record to 5-3 on the season.

In a defensive first half the Lady Eagles trailed going into the locker room 24-21. A 20-2 run to start the second half however put the Lady Eagles in command the rest of the way. A balanced night of scoring saw Jasmine Nyx and Kelly Johnson lead the way with 12 points a piece while Thalia Benjamin added 8 points and 14 rebounds.

The Lady Eagles will be back in action this weekend when they travel to Lancaster to play in the Antelope Valley Holiday Tournament. They open play Thursday at 3:30 pm against Santa Barbara City College.
