Women's Hoops Team Wins at Victor Valley

The MSJC women's basketball team picked up a 84-69 win at Victor Valley on Friday to keep them a top the Foothill Conference standings.

After a sluggish start the Lady Eagles were able to build a 14 point lead at halftime at 42-28. Four MSJC players reached double figures on the night led by 24 points from Tiffany Smith. Danielle Smith added 19 points and 10 assists in the victory. Autumn Spikes pulled in a game high 15 rebounds to go along with her 15 points and Nicole Villalobos contributed 12 points. Kyna Lewis just missed a double double with 9 points and 14 rebounds.

The win improved the Lady Eagles overall record to 19-3 and kept them unbeaten in Foothill Conference play at 8-0. MSJC will be back in action when they travel to San Bernardino Valley on Wednesday to take on the second place and defending conference champion Wolverines. The Lady Eagles return home on Friday February 5th when they host College of the Desert. Both games start at 5 pm and can be heard on the Eagle Radio network at AM 1620 or across the internet at msjc.edu
