Golf Team Finishes 3rd; Yang and Chen Qualify for State

Foothill Conference Champion Mt. San Jacinto College climbed over Bakersfield College (676), but it was not enough to qualify as a team for the CCCAA State Tournament, as the Lady Eagles took 3rd place in the Southern California Regional behind College Of The Canyons (653) shooting a 671 (337-334). Irvine Valley College posted a 632 to take 1st place. Mt. San Antonio College (672) and Saddleback College (686) rounded out the rest of the field. MSJC closes out the season with an overall record of 48-7 (40-4 in Conference).

However, Lady Eagles' Freshman and International Student Ya-Ting Yang and Freshman Connie Chen qualified as individuals for the State Tournament next week at Los Serranos CC in Chino Hills.
