Golfers Fifth After Day One of North-South Invitational

The MSJC women's golf team shot a 327 on Sunday, good enough for fifth place Daynaformorrobay.jpgafter one day of the 15 team North-South Invitational at Morro Bay Golf Course.

Dayna Doidge led the way for the Lady Eagles with a 77 on Sunday which places her 8th in the 88 player field.  Alice Hiluta shot a 79 for MSJC who is 21 shots behind Glendale College who leads the event heading into day 2.  Sophomore Vivian Shoemaker carded an 85 while fellow sophomore Valerie Zulueta added an 86 for the Lady Eagles.  Cheyenne Ackerman and Amanda Hodgin rounded out the MSJC scoring with 89 and 97.

Play continues today at the tournament and the Lady Eagles return to Foothill Conference action on Wednesday October 3rd when they travel to Twin Oaks for a 10 am match.
