The MSJC women's golf team once again set the school record for team score as they shot a 312 on Wednesday to best their previous record of 319.
The Lady Eagles 312 was good enough to keep them in second place in Foothill Conference action with a record of 14-4. Wednesday's match at Twin Oaks Golf Club saw MSJC defeat Mt. San Antonio (350) and College of the Desert (367) easily, but they were three strokes shy of Palomar (309) to go 2-1 for the day. Palomar remains on top of the conference standings with a 16-2 mark.
Wan Ling (Iris) Chung tied for the low round of the day with a 73 for the Lady Eagles while fellow international student Alice Hiluta shot a 77. Hiluta's 77 was her lowest round as a member of the MSJC squad. Dayna Doidge shot a 78 on the 5,423 yard par 72 course. Sophomore captain Vivian Shoemaker rounded out the team scoring for the Lady Eagles with an 84.
Valerie Zulueta carded an 86 and Cheyenne Ackerman shot an 87 for MSJC while Amanda Hodgin playing as an individual shot a season best 88.
The Lady Eagles will host Foothill Conference match #8 on Monday October 15th at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon. Monday's match begins at 9 am and admission is free.
Alice Hiluta shot a 77 on Wednesday at Twin Oaks Golf Club to help the MSJC women's golf team set a new team scoring record of 312. The Lady Eagles are currently 14-4 and in second place in the Foothill Conference.
