Lady Eagles Gear Up for Post Season

Mt. San Jacinto College returned to El Prado again playing the Butterfield Stage Course in Chino Hills for Foothill Conference Match #9 hosted by Mt. San Antonio College.  The sunnKatelyn Hardyy skies, breezy conditions, and comfortable temperature provided ideal playing conditions on the relatively wide-open track for the Lady Eagles.
 
Kathryn New posted a pair of 40's for an 80 total over the 5,500 yard track.  Her round consisted of 11 pars, 6 bogeys, and 1 double bogey.  New finished tied for 7th out of the 24 women field, but maintained her 2nd place status overall in Foothill Conference individual play.
 
Katelyn Hardy carded her best round of the season improving by 7 strokes over the last time playing Butterfield with an
82. 
 
Hardy again shot a 39 on the front side and came in on the back nine with a 43.  Her round consisted of 10 pars, 7 bogeys, and 1 triple bogey.  Hardy finished 9th on the day and remained in 10th place in the Conference overall.
 
Beth Sellers of Palomar College shot a 73 for medalist honors.  Foothill Conference regular season play concludes at the Lady Eagles home course, Oak Valley Golf Club, in Beaumont, on Wednesday, October 28, 2009.  Tee time is 10:00 a.m.  The Foothill Conference FinaKathryn Newls are next Monday and Tuesday, November 2-3, 2009, hosted by Palomar College.  The top 12 individuals, based upon an average score formula, over the course of conference play qualify for the Southern California Regionals the following week.
