MSJC Second After Day One of Conference Finals

The MSJC women's golf team shot a 340 on Monday at Pala Mesa Resort in Fallbrook to place second on the first day of the 2012 Foothill Conference Finals.irisconffinals.jpg

The Lady Eagles trail Palomar (317), but lead both Mt. San Antonio (377) and College of the Desert (410).  Wan Ling (Iris) Chung led the MSJC effort with an 8 over par 80 on the day good enough for 4th place in the 22 women field.  Alice Hiluta posted an 86 for MSJC with 43's on both the front and back nine.  Dayna Doidge carded an 87 for the Lady Eagles which was the 8th best score of the day.

Vivian Shoemaker shot an 89 on Monday and Valerie Zulueta had a 95 to round out the Lady Eagles scoring.  The Lady Eagles will return to Pala Mesa on Wednesday for the second and final round of the Conference Finals.  MSJC came into the finals tied with Palomar for first place in the conference standings.

 

Wan Ling (Iris) Chung shot an 80 on Monday at Pala Mesa Resort in the first round of the Foothill Conference Finals to help the Lady Eagles to second place.  MSJC will play the second and final round on Wednesday.
