Women's Golf Team Moves Back into Tie for First

The MSJC women's golf team battled high winds and a tough course on Wednesday to shoot a season high 366, but it was good enough to go 3-0 on the day in Foothill Conference Match #9 at Morongo Golf Club at Tuckwet Canyon.MSJCgolfValerie.jpg

The three wins propelled the Lady Eagles into a first place tie with Palomar at 20-4.  Palomar shot a 374 on Wednesday while Mt. San Antonio College shot 397 and College of the Desert 416.

Wan Ling (Iris) Chung shot the low round of the day for MSJC with an 87 which was the second best score in the field.  Dayna Doidge posted a 90 for the Lady Eagles followed by Alice Hiluta's 94 and Vivian Shoemaker's 95.  The four scores used by MSJC on the day all ranked in the top seven of the 22 player field.  Cheyenne Ackerman (98), Valerie Zulueta (102), and Amanda Hodgin (109) rounded out the Lady Eagles scoring for the day.

The Lady Eagles will be back in action on Monday October 22nd when they play at Temecula Creek Inn in Foothill Conference Match #10.  The Foothill Conference Finals will be played on October 29th and 31st.
