Carpenter Powers MSJC to First Win

Angelica Carpenter and the MSJC women's soccer team came out quick on Friday and never looked back on their way to a 2-0 win over visiting Rio Hondo College.

Carpenter scored a goal in the first minute of the game as the Lady Eagles jumpedGoalied to a 1-0 lead, Kyla Donnelly picked up the assist.  Solid defense and a relentless offensive attack led to another goal by Carpenter in the 56th minute to close out the shut out victory. Goalie Taylor Langston had 8 saves to help preserve the victory. The Lady Eagles now stand at 1-6 on the season and 1-1 in Foothill Conference play.

MSJC will be on the road twice this week as they travel to Chaffey College on Tuesday and College of the Desert on Friday. Both matches are set to kick off at 4 pm.
