Lady Eagles Come Up Just Short Against Fullerton

The MSJC women's soccer team had a strong day on offense, but it wasn't quite enough as they lost to visiting Fullerton College on Friday 5-4 in Menifee.anatorres2012.jpg

Jamie Ayala scored first for the Lady Eagles when she scored in the third minute of the match off an assist from Ana Torres.  Ayala would add another goal in the second half on another helper from Torres.  Torres completed her huge day offensively by adding two goals of her own in the second half.  On the first she received an assist from Kristen Montgomery and on the second she scored unassisted.

Taylor Wolf had 4 saves in goal for the Lady Eagles while Kimberly Bussing had 2.  The loss drops MSJC to 7-3-1 overall.  MSJC, who is currently ranked #9 in Southern California and #15 in the state, returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to San Bernardino Valley for a 4 pm match.  The Lady Eagles will also travel to Lancaster on Friday to take on Antelope Valley.

 

Ana Torres scored two goals and had two assists on Friday as the Lady Eagles soccer team lost a close match to visiting Fullerton College 5-4.  The Lady Eagles currently ranked #9 in the Region and #15 in the state play at San Bernardino Valley on Tuesday.
