Lady Eagles Soccer Team Earns a Tie
The MSJC women's soccer team traveled to Chula Vista on Tuesday and came away with a 0-0 tie against Southwestern College.
The Lady Eagles had a few opportunities to score, but could not cash in. Melissa Lopez was strong in goal for MSJC as she earned her fourth shut out of the year making 6 saves as she played all 90 minutes in goal for the Lady Eagles. Tuesday's match was the first Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match for MSJC, but it was not a North Division match. The Lady Eagles are playing their first season as a member of the PCAC, and are part of the North Division along with. Grossmont, Palomar, Miramar, and Mira Costa. They will play each team in their division twice and the members of the PCAC South Division once.
MSJC is now 4-3-1 on the season and will return to action on Friday when they host Cuyamaca at Menifee. Friday's match is set to kick off at 3:15 pm.
