Lady Eagles Win Big in Soccer
The MSJC women's soccer team got off to a fast start on Tuesday and never looked back as they cruised to an easy PCAC win at Imperial Valley.
The Lady Eagles got a goal from Brook Wooldridge just 2 minutes into the match to take an early lead. Kayla Hass scored in the 17th minute unassisted and then Wooldridge scored her second goal on an assist from Alex Scata just two minutes later to make the score 3-0 at the half.
MSJC would add two more goals in the second half when Lizeth Mendez scored on Scata's second assist of the match in the 81st minute and Demitra Tsambasis added a goal off a pass from Taylor Sompii in the 89th minute of play. Melissa Lopez recorded another shut out in goal for MSJC, her sixth of the season.
The Lady Eagles are now 7-4-1 overall and 3-1-1 in PCAC action. MSJC will be on the road again Friday when they travel to San Marcos to take on Palomar College in a 3:15 match.
Brook Wooldridge had 2 goals on Tuesday to help the MSJC soccer team to a 5-0 win at Imperial Valley.
