MSJC Soccer Beats Grossmont for Third Straight Win
The MSJC soccer team won for the third straight match on Tuesday as they defeated visiting Grossmont College 2-1 in Menifee.
Demitra Tsambasis got the Lady Eagles on the board first in the 21st minute when she scored a goal off the assist of Lizeth Mendez. Grossmont would come back to tie the game before halftime at 1-1. In the second half it would be Alexa Parker scoring the game winning goal in the 72nd minute with an assist from Tsambasis. Melissa Lopez continued her strong play in goal recording 6 saves in the victory for MSJC.
The Lady Eagles improved their overall record to 9-4-1 and pushed the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference mark to 5-1-1. MSJC has the rest of the week off before returning to action next Tuesday when they host Palomar College in a 3:15 contest in Menifee.
