Miramar Ends Soccer Win Streak at Four

The Miramar women's soccer team got off to a fast start on Friday in Menifee and it was too much for MSJC to overcome as the visitors picked up a 3-0 win.lopezmiramar.jpg

Miramar came out quickly scoring their first goal of the match just 5:38 in as Ninfa Ramirez scored her first of two goals on the afternoon.  Ramirez would add her second just five and half minutes later and Miramar would lead the Lady Eagles 2-0 at halftime.  Alexa Lonsdale put the match out of reach for Miramar when she made the score 3-0 in the 56th minute.  Melissa Lopez had 8 saves in goal for the Lady Eagles.

The loss dropped MSJC into third place in the very tightly contested Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division.  The Lady Eagles are 10-5-1 overall and 6-2-1 in conference play, they trail Miramar by one point as Miramar improved to 6-1-2 in conference action.  MiraCosta leads the division with a mark of 7-1-1.  The Lady Eagles return to action on Tuesday when they travel to El Cajon to take on Grossmont in a 1 pm match.
