Four MSJC women's volleyball players and two more women's soccer players have signed scholarships for the upcoming school year.
Denise Aguilar and Karina Precido from the Lady Eagles soccer team will both attend Missouri Valley College next season. Aguilar, a West Valley High graduate, scored two goals this year to help MSJC to their best season since 2005. Precido who graduated from Paloma Valley High School was a starting defender for the Lady Eagles this season. Missouri Valley is an NAIA school located in Marshall, Missouri. The Vikings compiled a 10-8-1 record last season and compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Aguilar and Precido join Jamie Ayala, Taylor Wolf, and Yuvitza Garcia making it five MSJC soccer players to earn scholarships this year.
Allison Hatch a two year starter for the volleyball team from San Jacinto High School has signed at Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Hatch split time at both outside hitter and setter for the Lady Eagles this past season and recorded a team high 145 assists and was third on the team with 63 kills. Lilly Fracisco (Northview H.S, Covina), Chelsea Bothwell (Centennial HS, Corona), and Lynae Whitehead (West Valley HS, Hemet) have all three signed to play at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kanas. Fracisco was second on the team for the Lady Eagles last year in digs with 122. Bothwell had balanced numbers in kills, assists, and digs, and also led the team with 58 blocks. Whitehead was the team's second leading offensive player with 82 kills on the season. Bacone and Bethany are both NAIA schools.
