Soccer Team Earns Another Shut Out Win

The MSJC women's soccer team had another strong day on Friday as they traveled to San Marcos and picked up another PCAC victory, defeating Palomar 2-0.kaylahaas2013.jpg

Dimitra Tsambasis scored the Lady Eagles first goal of the match in the 31st minute off a pass from Taylor Sompii.  That would be the only goal of the first half.  MSJC pushed the lead to 2-0 in the 58th minute when Stephanie Perez found Kayla Haas for a Lady Eagle goal.

The Lady Eagle defense was outstanding once again as goal keeper Melissa Lopez earned her seventh shut out of the season.  Lopez had 5 saves in the victory.

MSJC improved their record to 8-4-1 overall and 4-1-1 in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference action.  The Lady Eagles return to action on Tuesday October 22nd when they host Grossmont College at 3:15.  Tuesday's match is on the Menifee Campus.

 

Kayla Haas scored one of MSJC's two goals on Friday as the Lady Eagle soccer team picked up a conference road win at Palomar.
