The MSJC women's tennis team kicked off Foothill Conference play on Thursday and picked up a 6-1 win over visiting Victor Valley College.

The Lady Eagles easily won three of four singles matches with Kara Agamaite picking up a 6-3, 6-3 win while Ritchie Haney won 6-1, 6-1, and Stephanie Jahnsen won 6-0, 6-0.  MSJC also took two doubles matches to put away the victory.

The win was MSJC's first of the year as they improved to 1-6 overall, but more importantly they started the conference season 1-0.  The Lady Eagles are home twice this week as Tuesday they take on Antelope Valley and Thursday College of the Desert.  Both matches this week begin at 2 pm.
