Academic Programs-San Jacinto & San Gorgonio Pass Campuses
Welcome to the Academic Programs web site for the San Jacinto and San Gorgonio Pass campuses. Under the direction of the Vice President of Instruction, the office is responsible for a number of academic and support services. We are here to assist the immediate and strategic needs of our faculty members. We also help students in a variety of direct and indirect ways, sometimes by simply directing them to the places they need to be.
MSJC offers two-year associate degrees in 16 majors in the liberal arts and sciences, social sciences, and visual and performing arts. We currently offer 15 ADT
degrees with several more on the way. Students can complete general education and pre-major requirements for transfer to four-year colleges.
We organize approximately 400 sections in 28 disciplines with 40 full-time
and over 150 part-time faculty and offer over 100 individual courses every semester at the San Jacinto and San Gorgonio Pass campuses. Academic Programs' faculty provide excellent educational experiences to approximately a quarter of MSJC's students. The office is also responsible for a number of instructional and student support programs.
The mission of the dean and his staff is to provide an excellent level of administrative support to faculty in the teaching and oversight of courses and programs. In addition, we offer exemplary customer service in directing and assisting students with their concerns.
Academic Programs believes in bold leadership, ethically engaged and transparent collaborative processes in the support of faculty, students, and staff.
