“I spent years in dead-end jobs and going nowhere fast. After my husband passed away in 1999, I was scared and lost. I went back to school. I started taking an assortment of classes, including a typing class: my first time using a computer. I loved it! The encouragement from my instructors gave me the confidence to pursue a degree in Office/Business Administration.
I knew at that point it was my dream to work at MSJC. That dream came true when I got a job part time in the Phi Theta Kappa office. Three years later I transferred to the Menifee Valley Campus and have been working full time for the Dean of Instruction. It is because of my experience at MSJC, both as a student and staff member, that my life has turned around more than I could have imagined. I now show my gratitude and dedication with the MSJC logo tattooed on my ankle.”
