Cox is fresh off a tour with Barbra Streisand and owns a teleprompting company. Howard is the operations manager for Jabbawockeez, a dance crew that performs in Las Vegas. Murray is a beloved long-time theaters arts instructor at Hemet High School who also performs throughout the San Jacinto Valley. Wiley is a professional musician with band called One-2-Many, which performs all over Southern California and locally in the wine country and other venues. Washington, who played Ramona in the Ramona Pageant in 1997 and will again this year, acts, sings, dances, plays flute and the hand drum, and is a storyteller, voiceover artist,  and composer.

The Foundation will also honor several people with the annual Alumni & Friends Association Awards. Outstanding Community Member of the Year will go to the Family of Marie Quandt and Carl Quandt, who donated the land for the San Jacinto Campus (the families of Ella Mae “Quandt” Record and Marjorie “Quandt” Goodwin). Outstanding Alumni and Friend of the Year will go to Nancy and Mike McIntyre, who provide ongoing support of the MSJC Foundation and Eagle Athletics. Outstanding Staff Member of the Year will go to Brian Twitty, MSJC District Facilities Manager. Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year will go to Richard Sisk, associate professor of English at MSJC. And this year, the Foundation is giving a Special Recognition to former MSJC Trustee Joan F. Sparkman, who stepped down in December 2012 after serving on the Board since 1999.

The MSJC Menifee Jazz Ensemble will entertain guests during the cocktail hour, with the band Kicks (www.kicksband.com) rounding out the evening for dancing. A walking timeline with photos of the past, present and future of MSJC will be displayed. A silent auction with a host of fun items gives you an opportunity to support students and the college.

The MSJC Foundation Gala will be held at 6 p.m. at the Pechanga Resort 45000 Pechanga Pkwy, Temecula, CA 92592.
