The scholarship fundraiser includes alumni & friends of the year awards

Three people will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to Mt. San Jacinto College and the surrounding communities during the Feb. 12 MSJC Foundation Gala.

Russell “Butch” Murphy, Roger Ziemer and Daryl Wilkes will receive the 2011 Alumni & Friends awards during the 3rd annual MSJC Foundation’s An Evening With Our Stars gala.

The gala is the Foundation’s signature event to raise money for student scholarships and other endeavors that benefit students and Mt. San Jacinto College. It is open to the public.

This year’s theme is a Rainforest Rendezvous. It includes a fine meal, dancing and entertainment by MSJC students who compete for scholarships. Guests can also view live animals indigenous to the rainforest and bid on silent auction items.
