Faculty development is an essential component of effective learning communities and MSJCs L-COM program. Faculty who teach in a learning community must attend the Learning Communities Institute offered every semester. Additionally, faculty are required to participate in 12 hours of ongoing development, which includes but is not limited to learning community faculty interest groups (FIGs), L-COM Advisory Team meetings, Teaching and Learning Academies, and @MSJC Technology Academy. Additional opportunities will be added and announced to all faculty.
