Tutoring:
The LRC at the San Jacinto campus offers tutoring in a variety of disciplines, including centers supporting Mathematics, Writing, Reading, and Foreign Languages. Other subjects include Accounting, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, History, Psychology, Computer Technology, Music, English, Nutrition, Geography, Physics, Sociology, Political Science, Art, Communication, Anthropology, Environmental Science, Accounting, and Astronomy.
Computer Lab/Printing:
Over 40 computers in the Learning Resource Center are accessible for student use from 8:00am – 7:00pm. Computer tutors are also available during these hours, as well as printing at 10 cents per page. These computers provide Microsoft Office Suite, as well as other programs and internet access. No appointment is necessary.
Make-Up Exam Proctoring Services for MSJC Faculty:
The Learning Resource Center provides proctoring services for any MSJC faculty who wish to allow students an opportunity to "make-up" missed in-class exams. We can only provide proctoring to support this specific type of testing need, as our space and staff limitations prevent us from expanding our services to include any other proctoring requests you may have. This service can be accessed by visiting the LRC or by submitting a protocol form online.
Proctoring:
Proctored testing for other colleges and universities is available by appointment Monday through Thursday for a fee of $50.00 per exam. Please contact Tutorial Services Specialist Maria Aquino via phone (951)487-3481, or through e-mail at maquino@msjc.edu, at least one week in advance to schedule.

Tutoring Employment Opportunities
Students interested in tutoring at any of the centers located at the Learning Resource Center should contact Maria Aquino, Tutorial Services Specialist, at (951)487-3481. Students hired as paid tutors must have received an A or B in any subject in which they plan to tutor. In addition, they must be enrolled at MSJC with at least 6 semester units (3 units during the summer session), provide recommendations from MSJC instructors, and have successfully completed the tutor training class (TA100). |
