This workshop will cover Greatest Common Factors (GCFs) and Least Common Multiples (LCMs) and more importantly how to find them!  The prime factorization of numbers will be reviewed and many examples will be explored.  Picking up where the last Fractions workshop left off, this workshop will review the two more basic operations, addition and subtraction,  as they apply to fractions.  Numerous examples will be presented involving proper fractions and mixed numbers.

Operations on Decimals

Beginning with an overview of the place value chart, this workshop features the right side of the decimal point – decimal numbers.  Conversions between the decimal form and the fraction form of a rational number will be explored.  The four basic operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division as they apply to decimal numbers will also be reviewed.
