Application Timelines
 

Applications are accepted once per year for Fall Program Admission

Transcript Evaluation Due: December 1

Application Due: February 1-28

TEAS V:  March/April (by invitation only; check MSJC student email)

Final Selection:  April/May (check your MSJC student email)

New Student Orientation:  May/June  Mandatory attendance

​Student Success Academy:  August (the Tuesday before semester begins)  Mandatory attendance

Begin First Semester: August 19

 *Students accepted for program admission, who do not attend mandatory meetings or meet required deadline dates for immunizations, physical, and background check will be dropped from the Associate Degree Nursing Program.  NO Exceptions.

 

Application Procedures

 

 

Fall 2013 Program Announcements:
The Application filing period is CLOSED.  No Late Applications for our Fall 2013 program will be accepted.
 
Applicants should begin checking their MSJC Student Email regarding Final Acceptance after Friday, April 12, 2013.
 
Students who submitted their completed Nursing Program Application during the February 2013 filing period should begin checking their MSJC Student Email after March 5, 2013.
 
TEAS V is scheduled for April 3, 2013.
 
Fall 2014 Program Announcements:

Only students who have received an Eligibility Letter, through the Transcript Evaluation process, are eligible to apply to the Associate Degree Nursing Program.  Please review the Admission Information page for program requirements.

The Deadline to submit an Evaluation Request for the Fall 2014 Program is
December 1, 2013.
 

Students with a prior Eligibility letter - check the expiration date on your Academic Evaluation printout. If it's valid through March 2014 an update is not needed, unless you have additional courses or other changes which will change your multi-criteria points.  Contact the Nursing Evaluator, Janyt Camper, by email at jcamper@msjc.edu or call 951-639-5661 if you're not sure.

Student admitted to the ADN program in Fall 2013 had an Average GPA = 3.416 and Average TEAS = 72.9%
 
Students admitted to the ADN Program in Spring 2013 had an Average GPA = 3.824 and Average TEAS = 84.1%
 

 

​Waitlist
  
The Associate Degree in Nursing Program does NOT maintain a waitlist.
Applicants not selected for admission are welcome to apply during the next application cycle.
Applications do not roll over. 

  

Selection Process
 

After applications are received, the Promotion, Enrollment, Admissions and Retention (PEAR) Committee reviews all applications and assigns points to each candidate based on the Multi-Criteria Selection Points System outlined below. A copy of the Multi-Criteria Selection can also be downloaded by CLICKING HERE.

Applicants with the highest ranking based on Criteria 1-4 will receive Provisional Acceptance and be notified by MSJC Student Email only, about 1-2 weeks after the application period ends. Admission will be offered to the highest ranking applicants whose documentation supports the information provided in the application.
