Great California ShakeOut Drill

Mt. San Jacinto College is participating in the Great California Shakeout 2012 drill scheduled for 10:18 a.m. on October 18th, 2012. This is just a drill, and is not an emergency situation.

MSJC recognizes the importance of preparing our college community for the purposes of building a safer community and reducing the loss of lives and property from a major earthquake. By participating in the Great California ShakeOut 2012, the MSJC community is joining millions of Californians in the largest earthquake safety drill in history.

On the MSJC campuses, there will be sounds from whistles and bull horns. There will also be people participating in the Drop, Cover & Hold On drill. This is all a part of the Shakeout drill.

You are encouraged to take proactive steps today to protect yourself and your family. Visit www.shakeout.org for information, videos and the steps to prepare, protect, and recover from a major earthquake.

In the event of any ongoing emergency, continuing information can be found on the MSJC website: www.msjc.edu

Thank you for participating in the Great California ShakeOut.
