Jazz, Wine, Motorcycles & Football at MSJC this weekend

Join Mt. San Jacinto College & the MSJC Foundation as they wrap up the college’s 50th anniversary with a series of activities starting Friday night.
The MSJC Foundation will hold its annual Sunset Jazz & Wine Fest from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25 at the Menifee Valley Campus. The Menifee Jazz Ensemble and The Stephen Vaughan Group will perform. Guests can visit open house tours featuring Multimedia Program and Art Department.
Art by the Arts Council Menifee and MSJC students will be on display and for sale. The Walking Timeline, an award-winning pictorial history of the college, and the award-winning 50th Anniversary Documentary produced by MSJC students will also be on display.
Guests can enjoy delicious wine, beer and hearty appetizers. Tickets are $30 per person or $55 per couple.
The event benefits the MSJC Foundation and its work to provide student scholarships, faculty grants and other philanthropic endeavors.
The Foundation continues its fundraising efforts on Saturday Oct. 26 for the 4th annual Scholarship Motorcycle Run.
Riders will meet 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. at the Menifee Valley Campus. A continental breakfast will be provided. Participants are encouraged to pre-register at www.msjc.edu/motorcycleRun for a low rate of $20 for singles and $30 for doubles. Riders will depart at 8:30 a.m. and enjoy a 100-mile scenic route to Anza and through the surrounding area before arriving at 11:30 a.m. at MSJC’s San Jacinto Campus for a Community BBQ lunch, a silent auction and live music by the band Kicks. Starting at 11:30 a.m., the delicious BBQ, generously sponsored by the Soboba Foundation, will offer pulled pork sliders or beef hot dogs, ranch-style beans, cole slaw and kettle chips.
Non-riders are invited to enjoy the BBQ with paid admission to the Homecoming Game. Be sure to cheer on the MSJC Eagles as they take on Chaffey College. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The public is also invited to an open house at 11 a.m. The Art Gallery and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) program on the San Jacinto Campus are among the stops during the open house.
Community members will have a chance to bid on Silent Auction items, courtesy of Scholarship Motorcycle Run sponsors: American Idle Motorcycles, Prime Performance Motorsports, Quaid Harley-Davidson, and others. Bidding is between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Top bidder will be announced at 12:30 p.m.
The Menifee Valley Campus is located at 28237 La Piedra Road in Menifee. The San Jacinto Campus is located at 1499 N. State St. in San Jacinto.
This day of activities is a fun way to make friends, raise funds for student scholarships, support the college and enjoy family activities.
