MSJC Event Inspires 9th Graders
About 80 Perris High School 9th graders visited Mt. San Jacinto College last week to learn more about the sciences and their futures at college.
The June 25 event, organized by Dr. Temma Dadah, MSJC’s Dean of Instruction, Math and Sciences, was sponsored by the UCR Alpha Center as part of a student summer bridge program.
During their visit, the students toured the campus with representatives from the MSJC’s matriculation office, had 20-minute activities in the anatomy & physiology, general biology, microbiology, physics and geology lab. The students ended their visit with a presentation from MSJC’s Michelle Daniely, who introduced them to the options of concurrent enrollment, funding sources for college and other information for their future college experience.
The students and their chaperones from Perris HS and UCR greatly enjoyed themselves.
