MSJC First day of Fall 2010
Students arriving at Mt. San Jacinto College on Monday, Aug. 16 for the first day of the Fall semester found respite under shade trees and in air-conditioned rooms from outside temperatures topping 100 degrees.
Enrollment reached 15,300 students on the first day. Ninety-two percent of the seats were full on the San Jacinto and Menifee Valley campuses and 97 percent full in the San Gorgonio Pass area.
Many students arriving for classes on the first day of the semester asked about the GoPass program. Under the Riverside Transit Agency program, MSJC students can ride RTA buses free beginning August 16. Whether it’s a local bus to class, work or the movies, or a CommuterLink Express bus to the beach, simply show your valid student ID with a current RTA GoPass sticker and your ride is free.
