Residents of the San Gorgonio Pass communities can now register for classes at Mt. San Jacinto Community College, talk to counselors and apply for financial aid at the district’s new service center in Banning.
MSJC’s new San Gorgonio Pass Service Center opened Monday, March 17 at 1735 W. Ramsey St. Suite 111. The office is located in the Wells Fargo center right across the street from the Sizzler restaurant.
The office will be open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. It has computers and staff available to help complete applications, take placement assessments and provide other services. The center’s phone number is 951-922-1327.
"The most important thing to me about having an office in the Pass area is that it will make it easy for students to access services without having to come to the San Jacinto campus," said Robin Armour, director of Enrollment Services.
Tom Spillman, interim dean of Student Services, Counseling and Support Services, said the new San Gorgonio Pass Service Center shows the area that "Mt. San Jacinto College recognizes the educational needs of the surrounding communities and is a committed partner" in helping residents achieve their academic and career goals.
Beginning March 17, representatives from MSJC started visiting high schools and other locations in the Pass area to discuss the new center.
