Accreditation
Self Study
The MSJC Self Study is done, the MSJC Board of Trustees approved it on Aug. 11 and copies have been mailed out to the Accreditation Site Visit team members. It’s time for all of us to check out the Self Study Link and the accompanying Self Study Cliff Notes and prepare ourselves for the site visit scheduled for Oct. 17 through 20.

Strategic Plan
The MSJC Board of Trustees has received the final draft of the Strategic Plan to review before it will be asked to adopt the plan in September. The Strategic Plan is a three-year plan designed to: Align the activities of the college with the Institutional Priorities; Improve communication internally and externally to the entire college community; Expand community awareness and understanding of MSJC activities; Become more data informed in the decision making processes; Strengthen commitment to the college's integrated planning efforts

Program Review
The Program Review manual is on the web site and ready to use as a resource. In order to improve our programs and services, we are on a three-year cycle to collect data, analyze it and use the information to plan and appropriately allocate our resources. The Program Review Process will foster academic excellence, promote student success and maintain high-quality educational and support programs.

Eagle Football to Play Two Home Games at Vista Murrieta
The MSJC football team will once again host its first two home football games of the season at Vista Murrieta High School. The Eagles will play Chaffey College on September 10th and West Los Angeles College on September 17th at Vista. Both games will kick off at 6 p.m.

Interim Dean of Academic Programs for the San Jacinto Campus
Dr. Nancy Napolitano, Professor of Health Science, has accepted the position of interim Dean of Academic Programs for the San Jacinto Campus. Nancy has been with the MSJC district for 21 years including service as Director of the RN Program, chair of the Health Science/Nutrition and Natural Science departments at Menifee. She has been an Academic Senate Vice President on the site council for MVC and has also served on the executive board of the MSJC Faculty Association. She holds a BS and MS in nursing and an Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction. Welcome Nancy!

Timesheet Deadline Change for Permanent Classified Employees
Due to the recent changes in the district-wide schedule to 4-9-4 effective 8/8/11, and to allow adequate time for processing timesheets for permanent classified employees, the monthly timesheets deadline has been permanently changed effective immediately to: Due in Human Resources by 4:00pm on the 10th of each month (instead of the 15th).
