Office for Civil Rights gives MSJC high marks
MSJC is a model for other colleges to follow…that’s the word according to the Office for Civil Rights. The OCR is the agency that issued the 1979
Guidelines for Eliminating Discrimination and Denial of Services on the Basis of Race, Color, National origin, Sex, and Handicap in Career Technical Education Programs
. Each year, the OCR randomly selects three districts to review in the Spring. MSJC was selected and in February 2012
a two-person team visited MSJC to make sure our CTE programs were following the guidelines. We came through with shining colors. To review the report, follow the link below.

A volunteer group appointed by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction to advise ways to improve and expand the use of education technology in California schools includes an associate faculty member from MSJC!
