On Sunday June 15, 2008 the Mt. San Jacinto College District will conduct a training exercise at the Menifee Valley Campus. The drill will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until noon.
There will be law enforcement and fire department personnel present from various agencies at the Menifee Valley Campus. Participating agencies are: the Mt. San Jacinto College Police, Riverside County Sheriffs’ Department, CAL Fire, California Department of Forestry, American Medical Response, Mercy Air, and other volunteers.
There may be loud and unusual noises as well as public safety activity occurring on the campus during that time period. Aircraft may also be used in this exercise.
Please do not be alarmed. This will be a simulated exercise and there will be no danger to the public. The agencies are taking every precaution to ensure nearby residents and businesses are not inconvenienced, however people nearby may hear or see the activity. The agencies involved want to make sure those in the area understand this will be a drill.
This exercise will bring these allied agencies together to continue to train and coordinate their responses to emergencies or disasters occurring in Riverside County and the College Campus.
