MSJC’s Multicultural Festival brings entertainment, food and fun from around the world
The April 16 event is free and open to the public
Mt. San Jacinto College’s annual Multicultural Festival scheduled for April 16 will feature live entertainment, dance, song and information.
Multicultural Festival will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and offers the community and students an opportunity to experience and celebrate diversity in entertainment, the arts, religion and education. The free festival is open to the public and will be held on the Menifee Valley Campus, 28237 La Piedra Rd. in Menifee.
The event will feature entertainment by the San Jacinto High School Mariachi Band, Maria Mendoza’s Makahawai Dancers (which may include Filipino dancers as well as Tahitian, Hula and Maouri), Claddagh School of Irish Dance, Panjive Steel Drum Band, Peppers Russian and East European Folk Dancers, The Nightlight Ensemble, Russian Children Folk Dancers, and belly dancers.
More than 60 local vendors and organizations, assembled by the Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce, will bring a variety of foods, including African food, jewelry, purses, a Farmers Market and more. A Kids Zone will also be on site.
The college will provide information on courses, financial aid and other materials for those interested in attending MSJC.
