Award-winning author, William Luvaas, will read and engage in a discussion about the craft of creative writing. The presentation will be held at Mt. San Jacinto College, Menifee Valley Campus, 28237 La Piedra Rd. in room 927 of the Technology Building on Tuesday, November 12th, 11:30am – 1:00pm.
The reading is offered by the Mt. San Jacinto College Menifee Valley Campus English Department in association with Poets & Writers, Inc.
William Luvaas has published two novels, The Seductions of Natalie Bach (Little, Brown) and Going Under (Putnam), and two story collections, A Working Man’s Apocrypha (Oklahoma Univ. Press) and Ashes Rain Down: a story cycle (Spuyten Duyvil Press). His novels have been reissued as ebooks by Foreverland Press (Nov. 2012).
Luvaas’s short fiction (over fifty stories), articles, and essays have appeared in many publications. He has been a contributing writer to The San Diego Reader, Cosmopolitan (Japanese edition), and The American College Testing Program. He is online fiction editor for Cutthroat: A Journal of the Arts.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for students and the public to listen to an award-winning local author read from his work as well as engage in a discussion about the craft of writing.
