Traffic near the Menifee Valley Campus may experience delays through February while a contractor completes a pipeline project for the Eastern Municipal Water District.
Motorists heading to or from the Menifee Valley Campus are urged to plan additional travel time and maintain safe driving speeds during the construction.
The Menifee Lakes Recycled Water Transmission Pipelines Project is expected to begin on Oct. 20, 2008 and should be complete by February 2009, according to information released by Utah Pacific Construction Company. The company was contracted by EMWD for the project.
The project consists of constructing about 3,700 linear feet of 18-inch recycled water main pipeline. The work will take place along La Piedra Road between Antelope and Menifee roads. Work will also be done along Menifee Road between La Piedra Road and Bayport Lane.
The company asks that motorists use alternative routes when possible and to maintain travel speeds at or below the posted limits. Access to side streets and driveways will remain open during construction. The company also asks residents to refrain from running excess water in the gutters during construction as it may delay work.
