a 2nd chance club holds first annual banquet

The first annual a 2nd chance – An Empowerment Program – banquest was held on May 6, 2011 at the San Jacinto Campus.

MSJC student and SGA Senator Kenneth W. Prado is the founder and member of “a 2nd chance” club. The purpose of “a 2nd chance” is to provide support, direction, and inspiration to any student who wants to succeed in life.

“Some of us have been through hard times due to our own choices, or circumstances out of our control,” Prado wrote.  “Either way, we have made the life-changing decision to get up, dust off, and succeed. That is why “a 2nd chance” was born: to be a helpful pathway for success and to provide a hand for support. Good luck to all on your educational journey toward goals, and future accomplishments. I also have one more wish for all, and that wish is for you to fully realize the potential of that person inside of you who has been held captive for so many years, and that person is you!”
