The program pass rates are consistently above the state and national averages.
The Associate of Science degree in Nursing is a 78-unit degree program which requires four semesters (40 units in nursing) of study beyond completion of prerequisite courses. In addition, Mt San Jacinto College offers a LVN-RN articulation option for completion of the Associate of Science degree in Nursing or a non-degree 30-unit option.
Nursing is based upon the knowledge of natural and behavioral sciences in addition to ethics and legal mandates. The nursing process is used as a framework for providing independent or dependent interventions to persons from diverse groups while encouraging personal, family, and community participation to attain optimal health throughout the life span.
