Transfer to Cal Poly Pomona
Minimum Transfer Admission Requirements
o   Complete a minimum of 60 CSU-transferable semester units.
o   Earn a minimum 2.0 cumulative CSU-transferable GPA. Applicants must meet this GPA at the time of application and must maintain the GPA prior to transfer.
o   Be in good standing at the last college or university attended.
The Animal Health Science, Animal Science, Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering majors at Cal Poly Pomona have additional requirements and screening criteria. Visit www.assist.org and the Cal Poly Pomona impacted programs webpage for more information.

Recommended Transfer Coursework
o   General Education: Complete the CSU GE pattern or the IGETC pattern. The CSU GE pattern is usually the best choice unless you are also considering applying to a UC campus, in which case the IGETC pattern is usually the best choice.

How to Apply & Transfer
o   Submit CSU Application at www.csumentor.org.

For fall admission, apply October 1 to November 30 of the year prior to transfer.

For winter admission, apply June 1 to June 30 of the year prior to transfer.

For spring admission, apply August 1 to August 31 of the year prior to transfer.

Cal Poly Pomona may accept late applications, second baccalaureate degree seekers, or lower division transfers during some terms. Visit www.csumentor.org/filing_status for more information.
o   Complete General Education (GE) requirements in written communication, oral communication, critical thinking, and mathematics by the end of the previous spring term for fall admission, by the end of the previous fall term for winter or spring admission.
o   Follow instructions from the university for submitting official transcripts, enrollment confirmation and deposit, and other documents and information prior to transfer. Visit the Cal Poly Pomona admissions webpage for more information.

o   See a counselor as soon as possible to develop a transfer education plan.
