Meet the Candidates!
SGA President/Vice-President: The President and Vice President are responsible for running the SGA and InterClub Council meetings. These positions call for dependable, innovative, and inspirational people who put the needs of other students ahead of their own. Students who run for this position are required to attend the monthly Board of Trustees meeting, weekly SGA meetings, and other functions and events as needed.
MSJC Student Trustee: Represent the students of MSJC at the District and State level! The Student Trustee position is one of the most important leadership positions for a student at MSJC. This student attends the monthly Board of Trustees meeting (every second Thursday of the month), and sits with the Board as a non-voting member. As a member of CCCAST, the MSJC Student Trustee will have the opportunity to connect with other Student Trustees across the State of California.
SGA Senator: The SGA cannot run without a strong, reliable, and active Student Senate. All SGA Senators are required to attend the weekly SGA Meetings and will vote on important initiatives throughout the 2013-2014 academic year. All SGA Senator applicants must have completed at least 12 units at MSJC and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
