DSPS SLOGAN:
“DOING SOMETHING POSITIVE FOR STUDENTS”
DSP&S Mission Statement:
The mission of DSP&S is to empower students with disabilities to attain maximum independence, integration, and success in a fully accessible college environment.
Greetings All,
As I write to you today, I am reminded by a colleague of mine to be sure to “keep the balance.” There are a number of important dates and information that I need to update you on, so please take a look at the list below:
Priority Registration-November 30th (check EagleAdvisor for your specific start time) Spring schedules will be coming out with the next two weeks Last day to drop with a “W” (withdrawal)- November 20th
Math 51LL-For students having difficulty with passing Math 51, a new section of this class is being offered next semester that will spend more time going over – in different ways – the same material. Professor Hert will be teaching this class, and I strongly encourage you to consider taking this particular class.
The Disability Benefits 101 website and calculator is a great tool for students thinking about going to work either part-time while in school or fulltime in a few years. It can help them determine the impact work will have on their eligibility and amount of benefits. WID is seeking input from youth to improve its usability of the website and the calculator, specifically for youth. See links below. www.db101.org
