Getting Started - Steps to Becoming a Student

1

Apply for Admission

Online: go to www.msjc.edu click “Admissions”

In Person: At the Eagle Access Center on the San Jacinto or Menifee Campus or at the service centers in Temecula and Banning.  CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS.

Mail Transcripts – Send transcripts if you: Plan to earn a Certificate of Achievement, Plan to earn an Associate Degree, Plan to transfer, Have taken courses at another college, or Plan to satisfy a prerequisite requirement.

Transcripts are not required for registration unless the student is in high school or is trying to meet a prerequisite.

Request one copy of your official high school and college transcript(s) be mailed to:

MSJC Enrollment Services, 1499 N. State Street, San Jacinto, CA 92583-2399

Apply for Financial Aid

Online: complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at : www.fafsa.ed.gov

In person: At the Eagle Access Center on the San Jacinto or Menifee Campus, or at the service centers in Temecula and Banning.  CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS.

Contact the Financial Aid Office to see if you qualify for a Board of Governor’s Fee Waiver (BOGW).

Assessment (No appointment Necessary!)

In Person Only: During Office Hours at the Assessment Center on the San Jacinto Campus, Menifee Valley Campus, Temecula Education Complex or San Gorgonio Pass Service Center.

Orientation

Online: Click Here.  Or go to www.msjc.edu click student services, then counseling, then orientation and follow directions.

In Person: Contact a Counseling Office to sign up for a group orientation.

CREATE AN EDUCATIONAL PLAN (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) – Meet with a Counselor within the first Semester for Academic Planning!

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

ONLY >>>

High School Students must submit official High School Transcripts along with a High School/Parent Agreement Form prior to the start of the class.   Students in grades 9th and 10th must also submit letters of recommendations from their high school teachers from the discipline that they wish to enter.  For more information, refer to the back of the High School/Parent Agreement Form or Contact Enrollment Services.

Register/Waitlist for Classes

Online: go to http://my.msjc.edu Log in to your web account.

In Person: At the Eagle Access Center on the San Jacinto or Menifee Campus, or at the service centers in Temecula and Banning.  CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS.

Pay Enrollment Fees

Online: Go to http://my.msjc.edu (pay with MasterCard, Visa or Discover)

In Person: At the Cashier’s office on the San Jacinto or Menifee Valley Campus, or at the service centers in Temecula and Banning. CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS.

Purchase Textbooks

Online: Go to http://www.msjc.edu  Under quick Links, select the Book Store for the San Jacinto Campus (SJC) or Menifee Valley Campus (MVC).

In Person: At the One Stop Eagle Shop on the San Jacinto Campus or Menifee Valley Campus.

Attend Class (or Drop)

Online: go to http://my.msjc.edu and login into your online class.

In Person: go to assigned location.
