Through lectures, readings, and direct movement and music experiences, students learn to create innovative plans which integrate music and movement into the classroom curriculum. The principles and concepts presented are applicable at any age level.
Besides the goals indicated in the course description, our goal in this class is for every student to have positive movement and music experiences. Our desire is for each one of you to feel comfortable with the material presented. We also recognize that we are all individuals and that each student will have different music and movement preferences. Our desire is to help you know yourselves better so that you can teach with an awareness of your prejudices and perceptual filters.
