Phi Theta Kappa Book Drive
October 2009 - end of the semester
San Jacinto Campus Library
Menifee Valley Campus LRC
Phi Theta Kappa is holding a book drive to raise funds for global literacy programs, to reduce our environmental impact, and to support local libraries. In particular we are supporting “Room to Read” which partners with local communities throughout the developing world to provide quality educational opportunities by establishing libraries, creating local language children's literature, constructing schools, and providing education for children.
We would be grateful if you could donate books you no longer need, especially textbooks no older than 10 years. In addition, we are collecting DVDs. We will gladly pick up your donation or you can drop them in one our collection boxes which you can find inside the library entrance on the San Jacinto campus and inside the Learning Resource Center entrance on the Menifee campus.
If you have any questions about the book drive or would like to schedule a pick up, please feel free to contact Student Technology Officer Christian Saupe at bookdrive@ptkbdo.org. You can also contact Faculty Advisors Christina Yamanaka at cyamanaka@msjc.edu (951-487-3522) or Nick Reeves at nreeves@msjc.edu (951-639-5735) if you need additional information.
