GIS courses are taught at Mt. San Jacinto College using the most recent release of ESRI software: ArcGIS 9.1 and ArcView 3.3. MSJC's site license agreement with ESRI provides student access to several software extensions, including Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, ArcPress, ArcPublisher, Geostatistical Analyst, Survey Analyst and Tracking Analyst. With MSJC's site license agreement GIS students are able to acquire ESRI software at a discount, with free access to some of ESRI's virtual campus courses.

Mt. San Jacinto's GIS courses are offered in a state-of-the-art PC lab with 21-inch monitors, 1 gigabyte RAM, 120 gigabyte hard-drives, ZIP, CDR/RW and DVD backup drives, Windows XP Professional. A half a terabyte storage space on a GIS server. Two Hewlett-Packard 2500CM tabloid printers and HP800PS large format printer produce professional quality color maps up to 42-inches in width.

MSJC's stare-of-the-art facility provides students with invaluable work-related experience using network servers and professional presentation technology.
