The courses within the Political Science Department at Mount San Jacinto College are designed to give each student an opportunity to expand their knowledge of local , state, national and international politics and government. Courses in Political Science can provide a solid foundation for taking introductory and advanced courses in economics, history, sociology, psychology and business. They can also form the basis of a Political Science major when you transfer to a four-year college or university. With a Political Science degree, a student can go into law, international business and economics, teaching, and service in national, state and local governments. For a complete description of courses offered in the department, please see the college catalog which is available at the Mount San Jacinto College Website.
The Political Science Department, San Jacinto Campus offers political forums on a regular basis for local and state offices. These forums are open to all students as well as interested members of the public. The department also sponsors cultural events that promote diversity. For information on upcoming political forums and cultural events, contact the Professor Willie Hamilton at 487-3685 or click on the following link: department activities.
