Eagle Baseball Makes it Four Straight
The MSJC baseball team won their fourth straight game Tuesday to improve to 5-2 on the season heading into Foothill Conference action.
Tuesday the Eagle bats came alive in a 13-5 home win over Imperial Valley. Joe Riley and David Ricker both had three RBI for the Eagles and five pitchers combined to allow just four earned runs on the day.
Ricker had two hits to go along with his three RBI while the only other Eagles to have two hits in the game where Randy Bruce and Ryan Diaz. MSJC trailed 5-4 going into the bottom of the sixth inning but erupted for 6 runs to take control of the game. On the mound Danny Borst went four solid innings allowing just 2 hits and one walk as he earned his first victory of the year.
MSJC begins conference play on Thursday when they travel to Barstow. The Eagles then host Barstow Saturday in a doubleheader. Saturday's twin bill begins at 11 am.
